Izmir

Izmir has over 3000 years of recorded urban history and up to 8500 years of history as a human settlement. Set in an advantageous location at the head of a gulf in a deep indentation midway along the western Anatolian coast, the city has been one of the principal mercantile ports of the Mediterranean Sea for much of its history. Modern Izmir also incorporates the nearby ancient cities of Ephesus, Pergamon, Sardis and Klazomenai, and centers of international tourism. This is one of the greatest cities in the world where you can see a modern western city combined with a traditional eastern city, it is a melting pot of many civilizations and different people.

Izmir has a Mediterranean climate which is characterized by prolonged, hot, and dry summers, and mild to cool, rainy winters. During the championship, the temperature will be expected as 30-32Co on days and 18-20 Co on nights.
